Oficial! Italia reabrirá su embajada en la República Dominicana


Italia reabrirá su embajada en la República Dominicana, clausurada desde diciembre de 2014, informó ayer el ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores del país europeo tras la celebración del Consejo de Ministros en el que se aprobó la medida.

Desde el ministerio señalaron que la reapertura de la embajada en Santo Domingo “confirma los sólidos vínculos bilaterales en el ámbito político, económico y cultural” y servirá para “un mayor desarrollo” de los mismos.

Esta sede diplomática protegerá los intereses italianos en otros países de la región caribeña, de los que hasta la fecha se ha ocupado la embajada en Venezuela.

El Gobierno italiano también aprobó la apertura de una embajada en Niger, que “repercutirá en el ámbito de la seguridad en Italia y Europa”, así como en Guinea.
